Bandipora, Jan 02 (KNO): The Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), District Bandipora, expresses its deep satisfaction and appreciation over the timely redressal of the long-pending issue related to the grant of Transport Allowance (TA) in favour of teaching staff appointed as Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the district.
According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), JKTF Bandipora had recently raised the genuine concern regarding the entitlement of Transport Allowance for BLOs, as mandated under Finance Department Order No. 472-F of 2019 dated 28-11-2019, particularly in view of the extensive verification work assigned to them concerning electoral rolls. The Forum is pleased to note that the issue has been addressed within a remarkably short span of time, reflecting the responsive and people-friendly approach of the district administration.
The Forum places on record its sincere gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Bandipora, Ms. Indu Kanwal Chib, for her prompt intervention and positive decision-making, which has brought much-needed relief to the teaching fraternity performing additional election-related duties with dedication and sincerity.
JKTF Bandipora also extends heartfelt congratulations to the Chairman of the BLO Association, Mohd Shafi Tantrey, who is also the Zonal President of JKTF Quil Mukam, for his exemplary leadership. Tantrey, along with his team, met the Deputy Commissioner and presented the issue in a confident, dignified, and friendly manner. His constructive approach, clarity of purpose, and effective representation truly reflect strong leadership qualities and a deep commitment to safeguarding the rights of teachers.
The Forum believes that such coordination between responsible leadership and a responsive administration strengthens institutional trust and ensures justice to employees working at the grassroots level.
Once again, JKTF Bandipora conveys its sincere thanks to Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, for addressing the issue efficiently and upholding the principles of fairness and administrative accountability—(KNO)
