Srinagar, Mar 06 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir has seen a surge in industrial expansion, with 1,984 new units coming up since 2019, generating 63,710 jobs and attracting ₹9,606.46 crore investments.
According to the official document, accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), 334 new industrial units were established in FY 2024-25 alone, with an investment of ₹2,977 crore, creating 8,443 jobs.
The document also highlights the impact of the New Central Sector Scheme (NCSS) 2021, which has been fully subscribed. With an outlay of ₹28,400 crore, the scheme has 971 approved applications, securing ₹10,471 crore in investments and creating 51,897 jobs—(KNO)
