Ganderbal roads in shambles |KNO

Ganderbal, Jun 04 (KNO): Several vital roads in central Kashmir Ganderbal district are in shambles for the last many years with locals demanding immediate macadamisation. Locals from Ganderbal told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Tawheed chowk Ganderbal to Baroosa Bypass road is completely dilapidated and the concerned authorities have been turning a blind eye towards it and have not taken up repair works or resurfacing of these roads. Another local from Dab Wakura said that cab services on the roads have been suspended because of bad condition of roads. The residents said that the roads have developed potholes making the life difficult for motorists and pedestrians alike. Pregnant women, patients and elderly are the worst affected because of to the dilapidated roads. Locals from Shadipora said that Shadipora to Dab and interior roads in the area are in dilapidated condition due to which locals are suffering. They said that they have brought these issues into the notice of higher ups several times to no avail, they said. They appealed LG Manoj Sinha led administration to look into the issue so that people will heave a sigh of relief. Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal Er Tatheel said that the roads will be macadamised this year and work on them will start very soon—(KNO)
