Srinagar, Feb 09 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday said that 964 posts of Physical Education Teachers are lying vacant across the Union Territory, while clarifying that these posts have been reserved under the Rehbar e Khel policy. In response to query posed by MLA Sajad Gani Lone, Minister I/C YS&S, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board carried out the selection of 528 Physical Education Teachers between 2013 and 2017. "After that, all vacant posts were kept reserved following the issuance of the Rehbar e Khel policy through Government Order No 141 Edu YSS of 2017 dated October 27, 2017", it said. The Minister further said that the reservation of posts is aimed at regularisation of Rehbar e Khel employees in accordance with the existing policy. Responding to a query on whether the vacant posts would be de frozen or additional posts created for uncovered schools, the government said there is no such proposal at present—(KNO)
