Update : Civilian injured during Pulwama encounter | KNO

An army soldier has been killed while a civilian was injured during ongoing encounter at Aglar Kandi village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir. SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam told GNS that an army soldier Sham Sundar of 44 RR sustained serious bullet injuries during exchange of fire with militants and was referred to Army hospital here where he succumbed. A civilian namely Tariq Ahmad Bhat s/o Ghulam Bhat r/o Kandi Aglar was also injured when massive clashes between locals and government forces erupted in the area amid encounter. The civilian sustained bullet wound below his heart on left side of his chest and has been hospitalized. Meanwhile, Internet services have been snapped in Pulwama district in wake of the gunfight.
