 Five persons died in Bandipora and Ganderbal after they came under snow avalanche.

        In Bandipora, a house came under snow avalanche at Badugam in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tulail Gurez, Bandipora, resulting in death of four persons of a family indentified as Habib-ul-lah Lone son of Bahadur Lone, his wife Azizee Begum, daughter Gulshana and son Irfan Ahmad Lone residents of Badugam. Bandipora police retrieved the bodies and handed over to their relatives for last rites.

In Ganderbal, a territorial army camp of 115 Bn in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sonamarg came under snow avalanche, resulting in death of an Army Major Amit Sagar. Rescue operation is going on to save the rest of the persons. More details to follow.

In Srinagar, a residential house belonging to Arshida resident of Panthchowk came under a sliding boulder, resulting in damage to the house.
