Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNO): The District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today presided over a Training cum Interaction session of Political Parties and Candidates regarding permissions and online applications. On the occasion, the DEO briefed participants regarding proper procedures for obtaining permission for their election related activities through online mode. DEO emphasized on the Political stakeholders to obtain permission before planning to hold meetings, rallies or congregational programs. The District Administration Srinagar has nominated Chief Planning Officer as Nodal Officer for Permissions to facilitate Contesting Candidates in obtaining the permission for electioneering. The Political party representatives were informed that permission to conduct activities for the election campaign shall be given on the principle of 'First Come First Serve' basis. Parties and the Candidates were sensitized regarding their responsibilities to comply with ECI guidelines and Model Code of Conduct. Moreover, participants were informed about ECI applications which can be accessed by them to apply for permission and other facilities including C-Vigil App, Suvidha Candidate App, etc. The Suvidha Candidate App helps a Candidates to view the list of permissions required for campaigning, to track the status of their permission application and to download the permission form and submit it online—(KNO)
