The spokesman termed situation at the borders as serious and stated that the basic reason for tension between the two countries is lingering Kashmir issue which craves for resolution since past seven decades.

He said unresolved Kashmir issue is taking a serious toll on innocent people on both sides on one hand, and the two nuclear power are on the verge of war, on the other.
The spokesman said without the resolution of Kashmir issue, Peace in the sub continent will remain a challenge; it’s high time that India and Pakistan take serious steps to resolve the long pending Kashmir issue before it takes ugly turn.

He said the Kashmiri people are rendering huge sacrifices for the cause of right to self determination since past several decades and have created history by sacrificing lives and property worth billions.  The spokesman said genuine Kashmir movement can’t be suppressed by using military might. The history stands a witness to the fact that people’s struggles can’t be crushed by force and coercion.
