Malik meets SHRC chairman | KNO

Asks him to take note of gross HR violations

Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik on Monday visited the office of State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) and met with the chairman justice (R) Bilal Nazki.

JKLF chairman as per the statement issued to KNS, presented two petitions before chairman SHRC and urged him to take a serious cognizance of these.
“In one of the petitions, Malik has raised the issue of dozens of young boys who according to them have been falsely implicated by police in the killing of DSP Muhammad Ayub Pandit in June 2017,” the statement said, adding that Malik told Chairman SHRC that 15 incarcerated boys which included Aadil Siarj Misgar, Davood Fayaz Zargar, Juwaiz Hassan Khan, Arooj Aafaq Bhat, Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Arsalan Mushtaq Bangri, Seerat ul Hassan, Sheikh Khalid Rasool, Imran Nabi Wani, Owaise Muneer Bhat, Danish Rahim Mir, Sameer Ahmad Khan, Danish Ayoub Badoo, Musawir Bhat and Bashir Ahmad Bhat met him at central jail Srinagar recently when he was lodged there and narrated their stories of innocence in the said lynching case.
Emphasizing over the need of thorough investigation into this matter and initiating a fresh unbiased enquiry into the cases of these young boys by SHRC, Malik asked chairman SHRC to use his good offices for saving the lives and careers of these boys so that no injustice is done to them .
“In another petition, JKLF chairman has cited the case of ailing Syeda Asiya Andrabi and Fahmida Sofi who are languishing in Jammu jail from a long time,” the statement added.
Malik asked SHRC to take note of these gross human rights violations and ensure that inmates are treated fairly.
He also asked chairman SHRC to look into the plight of thousands of inmates languishing in various jails and police stations and take a note of the use of black laws like PSA against common people and peaceful political activists.
Meanwhile, JKLF has paid tributes to 1st martyr of present struggle Ajaz Ahmad Dar.
JKLF said that Dar wrote a new chapter of resistance with his sacred blood and will be remembered for ever.
A delegation of JKLF led by senior leaders Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal today visited the graveyard of Ajaz and prayed for his heavenly aboard .
The delegation included senior vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt, general secretary sheikh Abdul Rashid, senior leader Mir Muhammad Zaman, Zonal organizer Bashir Kashmiri, zonal press secretary Ashraf bin Salam, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Meraj ud din, Imtiyaz Ahmad and many others.
Later this delegation went to the residence of Dar and expressed solidarity with his family.
Delegation met with the ailing father of Ajaz Dar and enquired about his health also. 

On the occasion, JKLF leaders while remembering the struggle and sacrifice of great martyr said that Dar was and will remain as a symbol of resistance and steadfastness.
