The initiative is aimed to contribute to Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean India. It will boost the focus on cleanliness and create an environment of cleanliness across the country.

SSPs and commandants of respective districts and battalions took active participation and administered the drive. Jawans led by their supervisory officers wholeheartedly participated in the cleanliness drive. All the police establishments of all the wings were cleaned by removing the garbage and providing adequate number of dustbins.

Special efforts were laid in cleaning and maintenance of the kitchens, washrooms/toilets and barracks of the police stations, police lines and the battalions and company formations.

The fortnight long campaign will conclude on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
