Budgam Police organises Sports festival-U19 | KNO

In order to promote the sports culture and to provide opportunity to the youth to show their talent, Budgam police organised a Mega Sports Festival U-19 which was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shri Mohammad Harun Malik and C.O CRPF 43 Bn Shri Vinod Karthak at Sports Stadium, Budgam, today.

Various events like Cricket, Volley Ball, Football, Wushu, Kabbdi, tug of war and  race  etc will be played during the festival. A large number of students are participating in this mega event. In this Mega Sports Festival, 32 teams for cricket, 16 teams  for Football, 08 teams each for Volleyball and Kabadi are participating.

During the inaugural ceremony of Mega Sports Festival, a cricket match was played between Sahil CC, Naroo and Tehran boys , Lakheripora. Tehran boys, Lakheripora while batting first scored 126 runs for 9 wickets in their limited 20 overs and in reply Sahil CC, Naroo scored 131 runs and won  by 06 wickets. 

Among others, SSP Budgam Shri Tejinder Singh, Addll. SP Budgam Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure and DySP (DAR) Budgam Shri Mir Rasheeq  were also present on the inaugural ceremony of the Mega Sports Festival.
